Sri City, Andhra Pradesh – REHAU, a leading global provider of polymer-based solutions,
is strengthening its foothold in India with the acquisition of 1.05 acres of industrial land in Sri
City through a long-term 99-year lease. The newly secured land is located adjacent to RED
Star Polymers Pvt. Ltd., in which REHAU recently purchased a 51% stake. RED Star is
known for its production of PVC edgebands, a crucial component in interior furnishings.
This move marks a major step in REHAU’s strategic expansion in India’s manufacturing
sector. Dr Thomas Troeger, CEO of REHAU’s Interior Solutions division, stated, “This
development enables us to respond to increasing demand while enhancing our production
capabilities.”
Tushar Verma, Executive Vice President, echoed this sentiment, highlighting that “Sri City’s
modern infrastructure and superior connectivity offer an ideal foundation for scaling up
operations.”
Lakshmi Pacha, Vice President at REHAU, added, “Being located next to our existing facility
will boost operational efficiency and help meet the rising market needs swiftly.”
