Regional carrier FLY91 has announced the addition of Solapur, Maharashtra, to its growing
list of destinations, according to a recent company release.
This development aligns with the airline’s vision of enhancing air connectivity to underserved
tier-two and tier-three towns across India. Solapur, recognized for its vibrant textile industry
and industrial significance, will now be directly linked to Mumbai, the country’s financial
hub, and Goa, a popular tourist destination.
With the launch of these two new direct routes, the Goa-based airline now connects nine
domestic destinations. FLY91 began its operations on March 24 and has steadily expanded its
reach. Flights on the newly announced routes will commence on December 23, with ticket
sales expected to begin in the coming days.
“FLY91 is thrilled to introduce these direct routes, offering convenient travel options for
passengers,” stated Manoj Chacko, Managing Director and CEO of FLY91. “Mumbai, a
commercial powerhouse, and Solapur, a hub for textiles and pilgrimage, will now enjoy
seamless connectivity. Furthermore, connecting Solapur to Goa will provide residents with
easy access to a premier tourism destination.”
Operating out of Manohar International Airport in Goa, FLY91 currently serves regional
centers in Maharashtra, including Mumbai, Pune, Jalgaon, Sindhudurg, and Solapur, as well
as Agatti in Lakshadweep, alongside Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
