By harnessing the power of AWS cloud services, Continental has enhanced deployment
efficiency with remote monitoring and AI for secure operations.
Continental Mobile Robots, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), has
launched new software tailored for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR). These advancements
are designed to support Continental’s flexible AMR navigation software in the Intralogistics
and Agriculture sectors.
Using AWS cloud capabilities to optimize the deployment process, the software offers
features such as remote monitoring, deployment certification, and AI module assistance for
secure operations. Rahul Singh, Continental’s Global Head of AMR Software, highlighted
AWS’s role in delivering cutting-edge Mobile Robots with superior safety and reliability.
Adrian De Luca, AWS Director of Cloud Acceleration for Asia, Pacific, and Japan,
emphasized their ongoing commitment to advancing AMR technology, aiding Continental in
enhancing operational performance and better adapting to customer requirements.
Continental’s AMR solutions include robot hardware, autonomous software, and AI-driven
fleet management to improve material flow and intralogistics operations.
The upcoming Agriculture solution, set for release at the end of 2024, will focus on activities
such as UVC treatment and selective harvesting. This partnership aligns with Continental’s
vision of revolutionizing industrial automation with AWS, leveraging serverless computing,
IoT, analytics, and machine learning to create reliable AMR solutions for deployment across
various markets.
