This innovation highlights AMETEK Land’s dedication to industrial safety and the durability
of their equipment.
AMETEK Land has launched the Pneumatic Auto-Retraction System (LPAR), which
improves safety for thermal imagers by preventing overheating or damage during power
outages or cooling system failures.
Designed to fit various furnace camera systems such as the NIR-B-656 and NIR-B-2K, the
LPAR ensures continuous operation in demanding industrial settings, operating solely on
compressed air and electricity.
According to Manfred Hayk, AMETEK Land’s Product Manager, the equipment has proven
reliable even in tough environments across multiple applications.
The system automatically retracts the instrument if air pressure drops, cooling or purge flow
is interrupted, or if the temperature increases, protecting the NIR-B lenses and maintaining
structural integrity.
AMETEK Land’s thermal camera systems, which operate within a range of 300 to 2000°C,
offer customized solutions with options for water or air cooling and purging. The LPAR adds
an additional layer of protection, emphasizing the significance of industrial safety and the
dependability of AMETEK Land’s equipment.
